It is planned in due course to widen the membership at a smaller annual subscription, of say £20 per head, to ensure a wider representation in the community, but at present this would be too great an administration problem. The membership remains open to further subscribers. It was pointed out that each member is liable to subscribe £10 in the event of an insolvency of the trust. If there were to be excess funds the trustees of a charity are not empowered to return contributions to the members. The management of the trust is in the hands of the trustees. These retire by rotating 1/3rd of the trustees each year and are either re-appointed or new trustees are appointed at the AGM of members by vote of one vote per member pre vacancy. The AGM will be held annually in July/August. |
